City Manager’s Message
I wish to welcome you to the City of Huntington Park Website. Huntington Park is fortunate to be the home of an existing shopping district along Pacific Boulevard that features over 600 businesses of many varieties specializing in electronics, furniture, apparel, jewelry, and appliances. Huntington Park is proud to have the following businesses located in our community: Home Depot, La Curacao Electronics, FAMSA Furniture Store, Deardens, Staples, Bally Total Fitness, and Starbucks to name but just a few. We also are proud of Alexander BMW, Sopp Chevrolet and Sopp Ford.
Huntington Park is also one of the cities within the Alameda Corridor, a 20 mile high-speed railroad freight line connecting the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. The Alameda Corridor is a faster, more efficient way to move cargo and improves the flow of traffic by eliminating conflicts at nearly 200 crossings and by adding turn lanes.
The Mayor and City Council of Huntington Park are dedicated to providing high levels of service to the entire community and are focusing on creating additional open space for more Parks and Recreation opportunities. Our new Freedom Park is a joint property with the Los Angeles Unified School District.
It is the responsibility of the City Manager for the City of Huntington Park to carry out the policies established by the City Council in an effort to positively impact the quality of life for Huntington Park residents and businesses.
Huntington Park has a fine team of professional Department Heads and staff serving the community. The Huntington Park Police Department is involved in several youth oriented programs and the Parks and Recreation Department is in the process of building a new Bonelli Regional Youth Center adjacent to the recently remodeled police station.
The Huntington Park Chamber of Commerce is proud of the annual Christmas Parade and the various street fairs throughout the year that include entertainment and music on Pacific Boulevard. These events will be promoted on our newly designed Electronic Reader Board Signs and City Newsletter.
The City provides a fine range of services to its residents and business owners and I hope you enjoy our Website as a reference into our City. I welcome your input and opinions for improving our City and this Website via e-mail.
